We're Now 30

On this PART 2 episode with Nadine Lustre, we realized we both are heading in our 30’s! Join me and Nadine as we tackle the struggles we faced in our younger years and how we transformed them as learning opportunities as we come closer to a new decade.

Turning 30 is a milestone that often comes with a mix of emotions. It marks the end of one decade and the beginning of another, prompting us to reflect on our journey thus far. Many of us have faced struggles and challenges in our younger years, but as we approach this new chapter, it's essential to see those experiences as valuable learning opportunities.

How to ease the pressure? Remember these!

1) Career Uncertainty Becomes Clarity

In our twenties, we often grapple with career choices and uncertainty about the future. We may have taken on various jobs, switched majors, or pursued passions that led us in unexpected directions. However, these experiences have shaped our skills, honed our interests, and ultimately guided us toward more fulfilling career paths as we enter our thirties. We've learned that it's okay not to have everything figured out and that the journey to finding our true calling is filled with valuable lessons.

2) Relationship Challenges Lead to Growth

Romantic relationships in our younger years can be tumultuous. We may have experienced heartbreak, betrayal, or simply the challenges of navigating love and commitment. These trials have taught us about communication, empathy, and self-worth. As we enter our thirties, we carry with us the wisdom gained from past relationships, helping us build healthier, more fulfilling partnerships.

3) Financial Struggles Foster Financial Literacy

Financial hardships are a common part of early adulthood. We might have faced student loans, credit card debt, or living paycheck to paycheck. These financial struggles have forced us to become more financially literate and responsible. The lessons learned about budgeting, saving, and investing have positioned us to make more informed decisions in our thirties, setting the stage for financial stability and independence.

4) Self-Identity and Confidence Blossom

In our twenties, we often grapple with questions of self-identity and self-worth. We may have compared ourselves to others, battled imposter syndrome, or felt the pressure to conform to societal expectations. These struggles have, in turn, fostered self-awareness, resilience, and a sense of authenticity. As we approach our thirties, we are better equipped to embrace our individuality and face life's challenges with confidence.

5) Health and Well-Being Take Center Stage

Health and well-being often take a backseat in our youth as we juggle various responsibilities. However, as we approach our thirties, we recognize the significance of self-care, both physical and mental. The health challenges and lessons from our twenties inspire us to prioritize our well-being and establish healthy habits that can last a lifetime.

Turning 30 is not just a numerical change but a profound opportunity for personal growth and transformation. Our struggles and challenges in our younger years have been instrumental in shaping the resilient, self-aware, and confident individuals we are becoming as we enter a new decade. Instead of viewing these struggles as setbacks, we can reframe them as stepping stones on our path to a more fulfilling and meaningful life. As we embrace the thirties, we carry with us the wisdom and resilience gained from our past, ready to face the future with open hearts and open minds.

Take into account what’s happening within you for you to be able to transform everything else around you.
