Ways to Start Mental & Physical Detox

In our fast-paced world, we can easily feel overwhelmed. Our minds are constantly processing what we think and feel, while our bodies are processing what we eat and drink. Here, I talk with one of the people I adore when it comes to fitness, Hannah Bacani, on how we can take care of physical and mental health, as these two noticeably affect each other and can manifest in every aspect of our lives.

6 Steps to Start Your Mental Detox

1) Live a healthy diet.

Hannah and Joyce talk about the role that a healthy diet can play in supporting our physical and mental well-being, and offer some tips for making positive changes to our eating habits. Eating a balanced diet that includes plenty of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and lean protein can help to provide our bodies with the nutrients they need to function properly.

2) Learn to hydrate.

Staying hydrated is another key component of physical and mental health, and the episode offers some suggestions for how to make sure you're drinking enough water. Drinking plenty of water can help to flush out toxins, keep our skin looking healthy, and support our overall well-being.

3) Practice mindfulness.

Practicing mindfulness can help to reduce stress and anxiety, improve focus and concentration, and support overall well-being. The episode offers some suggestions for how to incorporate mindfulness practices into your daily routine, such as meditation and deep breathing exercises.

4) Spend time in nature.

Spending time in nature can have a calming and restorative effect on the mind and body. The episode offers some tips for how to incorporate nature into your routine, whether by taking a walk in the park or spending time gardening.

5) Exercise.

Regular exercise can have numerous physical and mental health benefits, from reducing stress and anxiety to improving heart health and muscle strength. The episode offers some suggestions for how to incorporate exercise into your routine, even if you're short on time.

6) Get enough sleep.

Getting enough sleep is essential for both physical and mental health, and can also support the body's natural detoxification processes. The episode offers some tips for improving sleep quality, such as sticking to a consistent sleep schedule and creating a relaxing bedtime routine.

You have to change your mindset if you want to change anything else in your life.
