After Sharing the Gospel… Now What?

Got the opportunity to moderate yesHEis’ community night with Pastor Mike Yap, Pastor Franco Ferrer, Pastor Marty Ocaya, and Michelle Sindiong where we discuss ways to share the Gospel with our friends, loved ones and even strangers.

How to be Gospel-fluent?

Being Gospel-fluent as a Christian means embodying and effectively communicating the message of the Gospel in our everyday lives. Here are practical ways to become Gospel-fluent:

1) Know the Gospel

Study and understand the foundational teachings of the Gospel—God's love, the life and teachings of Jesus Christ, the significance of his death and resurrection, and the promise of salvation and eternal life through faith in Christ.

2) Live Out Gospel Values

Align your actions with Gospel values such as love, compassion, forgiveness, humility, justice, and integrity. Let these values guide your decisions and interactions with others.

3) Share the Gospel with Clarity

Be able to articulate the Gospel message in a clear and understandable way to others. Practice sharing your faith story and how Jesus has transformed your life.

4) Engage in Evangelism and Discipleship

Actively participate in sharing the Gospel and making disciples. Build intentional relationships with non-believers and fellow Christians to encourage spiritual growth.

5) Reflect Christ's Character in All Areas of Life

Strive to reflect the character of Christ—his love, humility, patience, and sacrificial nature—in your relationships, work, and daily interactions.

After sharing the Gospel, what’s next?

1) Pray for Them

Commit to praying regularly for your family or friends. Ask God to soften their hearts, open their minds to understand the Gospel, and draw them closer to Himself.

2) Continue Building Relationships

Maintain positive and authentic relationships with them. Show genuine care, love, and respect regardless of their response to the Gospel message.

3) Invite Them to Church

Extend invitations to attend church services, special events, or small group gatherings where they can experience Christian community and hear more about the Gospel in a welcoming environment.

4) Model Christ-like Behavior

Demonstrate Christ's love through your actions and lifestyle. Let them see the positive impact of faith in your life, including how it influences your decisions, relationships, and values.

By intentionally living out the Gospel message in our words and actions, we become fluent in communicating the transformative power of Christ's love to a world in need of hope and redemption. May our lives be a reflection of God's grace and truth, drawing others to experience the abundant life found in Jesus Christ.

The decision to embrace faith is deeply personal and may unfold over time. Your role is to faithfully share the Gospel and be a loving witness, trusting that God will continue to work in the lives of your family or friends. Keep praying, loving, and supporting them on their journey towards discovering the truth of Christ's message.
