Keeping that Mamba Mentality

“KEEPING THAT MAMBA MENTALITY FT. AARON ATAYDE” EP. 41 SHOW NOTES FROM THE PODCAST:

Mamba Mentality basically means a constant quest to try to better today than what you were yesterday. Here’s another episode with our favorite, Aaron Atayde, as he shares about how can we constantly try to be the best version of ourselves and the things he learned from working in broadcasting for years.

How to balance being an introvert while being an extrovert for a career you’ve chosen?

○ Stay true to what your personality really is. Show the different parts of who you are.

○ Balance out the personality you have. Balancing two different personalities is a facet of professionalism. You have that switch of extroversion on when facing people and just enjoying the discomfort of being in front of them.

○ Love your alone time. If you need that alone time, take it and enjoy it. Give yourself a deposit of energy, then after, you’ll just realize that you are ready to face and interact with people again.

You have to do it because you love it. I am introvert but I try to be extroverted for something that I am so passionate about.”

Sometimes, people might not like that part of who you are, but if that’s really who you are and you are honest about it, that’s totally fine as long as you are not hurting anyone. When you accept your weaknesses and strengths, and combine it with passion, wherein you are willing to sacrifice other things for the things you love, then that’s a good combination.

What is that one characteristic that all successful people have?

Adaptability. If you don’t evolve or adapt to the situation, you’ll be extinct. And that will be your downfall.

How to tune your mind into trying something new when you’re so comfortable with what you have?

Always think that trying something new is all about ego. If you want to try something, you have to put aside your ego. When you do something new, there is always a possibility that you will fail, but don’t be afraid to suck at something new! “Even if it sucks, so what? What am I gonna lose?”

If you want to succeed, you have to evolve. We would rather fail and say that atleast tried it, than fail to try.
