Enjoying Life to the Fullest Despite the Limitations
Do we really need to have a life without any restrictions in order to be happy and “live to the fullest”? On this episode of Adulting with Joyce Pring together with Coach Lyqa Maravilla, they answer a question from the community about personal happiness and the little things we’re grateful for, that allow us to live the life we want to.
A lot of us have been wire to think that happiness has to come with a price tag or has to come with a certain level of sacrifice but, happiness can be something that’s just so light and easy to have – if we choose it. (JP)
How to enjoy life and have limits at the same time?
We have this idea that if we are a good person, we do nothing wrong, and if we do something that crosses that – we are no longer a good person. Well, you can enjoy life with limitations as easily as reminding yourself that there will always be a consequence of your actions, and even with those consequences, you can pivot and make something better. But, we must understand that everything we do, even if it’s not expensive, comes at a certain expense level of expense… (LM)
You spend time, effort, and even social currency – so make a list of the things that make you happy, maybe it is science-based or just preferential, it’ll take those blues just as much. In short, be honest with who you are (JP). To ride life is being able to step up and look at yourself both in the negative and in the positive – so you can assess how to keep going.
Don’t let the voices of the world dictate what you should do. Don’t rob yourself of that joy. Being an adult is just having unique experiences and then having people to share them with.
You will always have this one perfect day – cloudy that’s still bright with no rain. A day where you can just enjoy your cup of coffee with enjoy the nature’s beauty. Just little things that make us feel alive, and you just have to learn to ACCEPT those. It always starts with a bit of gratitude. (LM)
