Embracing True Identity

Facing an identity crisis?

Identity is a crucial topic in today's world, with constant opinions and contradictions. Discovering one's true identity in Christ requires ignoring lies and focusing on solid Biblical truths.

It is crucial to be conscious that having bad sentiments about yourself or your life might be a sign of vulnerability. According to research, identity was developed through experimentation with various behaviors and roles, as well as social interactions. Maybe you’re tired of being okay with it.

Well, Dia and I share our own personal journeys on how we’re able to overcome it!

What does the Bible says about self-worth and identity?

In Genesis 1-2, we can find who we really are.

#1 The man’s anthology or essence

It means that we are created and we really exist because we have God who sustains our innermost human essence in this world.

#2 The relationship of human to God

Because we have God who created us and gives us breath into existence. He is our creator. Meaning as a creature created by the Most High, we will be forever under His authority.

#3 The Function of human

Since we are under His authority, our will and what we do is under Him. He knows us fully, especially our purpose.

How can we Embrace our True Identity

1) Being confronted by the truth

Read the bible, the breath of life, His word is our compass in this world. It’s really the confrontation with the truth that will enlighten our mind and heart that God is the only way for us to change and it is who you are. That we are a sinner and we need His grace.

2) Asking for help

Have a real conversation with God. This is a good way to heal that part of our identity that has been lost for so long. Start to speak this truth, “Lord break the part of me that wasn’t pleasing to you.”

3) Being sanctified

It's not always easy, but it's worth it. The more we run to God, the more we'll see the changes in our lives.

4) Admitting we can fall

His grace is sufficient to all us, to reach towards the end of the race.

Be aware that you’re a vulnerable person and you’re in need of His compassion and His grace to walk and be victorious despite the tension and temptation around you.
